Gary Lester and Dave Karner are involved in writing the screenplay for Blue Heron's first full-length feature movie. It will consist of several short stories held together by a central story. It is in the horror genre. We will let you know when it leaves the pre-production stage and is about to enter production. At that time, Blue Heron will have a call for cast and crew. Most likely, this will be a 2011 project. Simultaneously, Ted V. Mikels has contracted with Gary to be his Assistant Director and Cinematographer for "Astro Zombies M4: Invasion From Cyberspace." This is a major promotion for Gary, in that he will be responsible for the entire production, not just the scenes shot in Florida. Once again, the production will involve multiple locations including California and Las Vegas, as well as Florida. That project is also in the script-writing stage, and Blue Heron will be holding cast auditions for the scenes which will be scheduled for Florida close to the time of production. Nothing will be happening before summer/fall 2011. "Astro Zombies M 3" is now on sale at Oldies.com and many DVD stores nationally. Hollywood film composer Richard Band (Re-Animator, Walker: Texas Ranger, 7th Heaven,) has agreed to join us as part of the production team involved with bringing Safe Haven to the screen as a major motion picture. For those who have passports, that production will be shot in Poland and Israel in 2012, if all goes well in securing the financial backing. Finally, regarding Transformers 3. we were all excited that Transformers 3 was coming to the Cape to shoot. We were all looking forward to being in on a big production. Well, they arrived and decided it would be easier to use the Cape people who already had badges and clearance to be on the Cape. So, they put out a call to those people and they had 300 of them to show up for 120 positions as extras. So, we missed this one. I know we were all anxious to be a part of this production, but you win a few and you lose a few.

It's been an enormously busy season for the Pangea players. In addition to filming Weird Florida: Roads Less Traveled(now airing nationally on PBS stations) and MonsterQuest "Killer Bees" which recently aired on the History Channel, we filmed an episode of Wife Swap for ABC television, the TV talkshow "Conversations" for WDSC-TV in Daytona Beach, Florida and another episode of MonsterQuest about Piranas scheduled to air on March 3, 2010 on the History Channel.
Pangea fellows, Ken Gerhard and Linda Godfrey, have also been busy with their own television episodes which have aired on the History Channel and other venues all to critical acclaim.
The Pangea players also purchased the rights to eyewitness interview segments of the University of Florida student film "I look for It all the Time" from Mike Nichols and Natalie Elder to incorporate into its own production about the Florida Swamp Ape. Plans are currently in the works to film additional sequences for a new documentary production on the subject over the next few months.
A viewing party is planned for the premiere of the MonsterQuest "Piranhas" episode on March 3, 2010 during the regular meeting of the Daytona chapter of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association to be held at the WDSC-TV studios in Daytona Beach, Florida at 8:30 PM.
Although an air date has not yet been scheduled for the episode of Wife Swap on ABC (featuring Robert Robinson and his wife Tracy who were recommended to the producers by Pangea institute's Scott Marlowe) a viewing party is being planned for the premiere. The location for the party has been decided and will be held at RJ Gators in Sebring, Florida. The date and time will be announced in advance.
Be sure to stay tuned to this website for additional details. We hope you enjoy the shows!
