MonsterQuest CrewIt's been an enormously busy season for the Pangea players. In addition to filming Weird Florida: Roads Less Traveled(now airing nationally on PBS stations) and MonsterQuest "Killer Bees" which recently aired on the History Channel, we filmed an episode of Wife Swap for ABC television, the TV talkshow "Conversations" for WDSC-TV in Daytona Beach, Florida and another episode of MonsterQuest about Piranas scheduled to air on March 3, 2010 on the History Channel.

Pangea fellows, Ken Gerhard and Linda Godfrey, have also been busy with their own television episodes which have aired on the History Channel and other venues all to critical acclaim.

The Pangea players also purchased the rights to eyewitness interview segments of the University of Florida student film "I look for It all the Time" from Mike Nichols and Natalie Elder to incorporate into its own production about the Florida Swamp Ape. Plans are currently in the works to film additional sequences for a new documentary production on the subject over the next few months.

A viewing party is planned for the premiere of the MonsterQuest "Piranhas" episode on March 3, 2010 during the regular meeting of the Daytona chapter of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association to be held at the WDSC-TV studios in Daytona Beach, Florida at 8:30 PM.

Although an air date has not yet been scheduled for the episode of Wife Swap on ABC (featuring Robert Robinson and his wife Tracy who were recommended to the producers by Pangea institute's Scott Marlowe) a viewing party is being planned for the premiere. The location for the party has been decided and will be held at RJ Gators in Sebring, Florida. The date and time will be announced in advance.

Be sure to stay tuned to this website for additional details. We hope you enjoy the shows!

LaceyPangea’s Scott Marlowe, was asked by Whitewolf Entertainment, the producers for “Monster Quest” on The History Channel, to assist with the production of two new episodes for the spring 2010 viewing season of the hit TV show.  Marlowe teamed up with fellow members of the FMPTA in early December to shoot scenes for the upcoming episodes.

The production called for technical assistance, locations and casting for the two shows.  The FMPTA Daytona Beach chapter and it’s Officers and Marlowe were able to “produce” the needed places and faces to complete the project.

One episode shot on location in the Deland area and Daytona Beach will explore “Killer Bees.” And features performances by Tom and Don Fry, Max Horton, Daniel Harrigan and Lacey Lites.   This show is tentatively scheduled to premier on January 27th at 9:00PM.

PiranhaThe second episode segments were filmed at Wekiva Springs State Park.  Marlowe appears in the reenactment as former president, Theodore Roosevelt, along with Robert Reese, Marc Solomon, Jacob Lites, in the Roosevelt entourage and Joe Garcia, Ken Morgan, Othrash and Jaimin Patel portraying South American natives.  Helen Fuqua and William Lites did the costuming with Bill Lites also adding his talents below the water’s surface churning things up a bit as the episode’s title character: Piranhas!

This episode is in the editing room now and is slated to air sometime in March – perhaps as this season’s finale episode.
